Barbara Fraile was born in 1987 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her deep and ongoing story with dogs formally started in 1998 when she got her first Giant Schnauzer, Wendy. She has lived in Helsingor Denmark near the castle Kronbørg and was a part of the great art festival there. Today Barbara resides in Italy. Her sculpted dog pieces have been sold all over the world and are in much demand and admiration!
“I like to believe that there is some kind of magic in the work I do. I really feel that the clay wants to be turned into dogs. Many people have asked me how I do what I do. I put myself at the disposition of the moment and soon my desk is full of clay dogs! I spend weeks watching them and taking them to the end of the process, and then I get them in my hands and watch them looking at me. I didn’t choose to do this work, it has chosen me and I’m at its service.”

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Scottish Terrier Club of Greater Denver has had a judges change for our specialty to be held on August 16th, 2019.
"We are very fortunate to have acquired the replacement judging services of such an esteemed judge as Mrs. Keke Kahn. For those of you unfamiliar with Mrs. Kahn, here is a brief background....."
I have been judging since June 1972. I have enjoyed All-Breed Status since 1997. I am married to Richard Paul Kahn and we have been married since 1988. I have 3 children and 7 grand-children. Life is good and I thoroughly enjoy judging still after all these years. I have been fortunate to judge all over the world and here in the USA too. Big shows and Little shows and love them all. I was lucky to have bred 58 AKC Champions and 6 All-Breed Best In Show dogs. Plus I bred the winner of our National Specialty two years in a row. That was the very best of the best to me. I thank all the exhibitors for supporting me all these years.
My husband and I live in Indiana on 60 acres where we have raised our family since 1980. We are fortunate enough to have our two grown children and 5 grandchildren who live close by. I went to Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and practiced in near by Brownsburg until I retired. I have been breeding and showing Scotties since the mid-1980’s under the HiJinks affix. I am a 33 year member of the STCA. I am also a member of the Scottish Terrier Clubs of Greater Dayton, Michigan, Greater Louisville, and Chicago (honorary). I have served on the STCA Board for several years as a Director and Corresponding Secretary, and I have also served on the STCA Health Trust Fund for several terms. I am currently the Chairperson of the Health Trust Fund. I am not breeding as many litters as I used to, but along with achieving some nice successes in the Conformation ring at specialties and all breed shows, I am enjoying training my Scotties in Rally and Barnhunt. I have had the privilege of judging several Specialty Sweepstakes in the past, and I have enjoyed every minute of judging the puppies.
