To encourage responsible ownership and breeding of the purebred Scottish Terrier.  To promote the integrity of the Scottish Terrier through companionship, conformation, performance, character, and health as recognized by the AKC for purebred terriers.  We are resolute in advocating good sportsmanship.

 

General Meeting Minutes

June 30, 2013

The meeting was called to order by President Charlene Gann at 12:05 at the Bass Pro Shop in Denver Colorado.

Members Present-Charlene Gann, Sherrie Creekmore, Sonya Neve, Pam Harley, Nellene Lemmon, Leisa Todd, Rebecca Walsh, Sylvia Sydow, Jeff and Karen Partington, Ed and Lois Pesyna, Laura Childs and Chris Fuqua.

President’s Report-Charlene reports all is progressing nicely for our upcoming show.  Plans have been made for club representation at the upcoming Highland Games.  Two rescue dogs have come in and are being care for. She has picked up the Breed brochures for RDO Days and our specialty, and the BOS trophy for Sweepstakes. She also sent out self addressed stamped trophy donation pledge sheets to members who do not usually attend our meetings.

Vice President’s report-Sherrie Creekmore says all of our show concerns are being handled.  The premium list for our show will be sent this week, and club members should be receiving them at any time.  PayPal entries will be accepted and is set up thru our website.  Several extra rooms have been set aside at the Country Inn and Suites if we know of people in need of hotel rooms.  A banquet room has been reserved and deposit paid for our dinner to be held at the show site.  A trophy pledge sheet was passed out for trophy donations.

Secretary’s Report-Sonya is working on the raffle of the fainting couch.  So far, by the meeting date, $395.00 in tickets have been sold.

Treasurer’s report-Current checking account balance $2,094.74.

Committee Reports-Judy Shaffer, Sunshine chair, has sent several cards out to members, and reminds everyone to allow Jacquie Lawson passed your spam filter.

The Scottish Terrier Club of Greater Denver welcomes its newest member Chris Fuqua!!
